Please enter your introduction. I think it needs to say what you will be talking about and how you will talk about it. For example: How to clean your hard drive and free up space for better performance and faster data transfers, naturally, without relying on any additional softwares or programs. Or: Here's everything we know about the upcoming iPhone 5S — specs, dimensions, release date — plus rumors of a cheaper iPhone 5C (with a plastic shell) model. Your first sentence should be a hook. The hook gets the reader interested in what you're about to say. You can either tell a story or start with an anecdote, but it must be interesting and relevant to the article. Do not just copy and paste your introduction from other articles. Start talking about the topic and let the reader know you've got something for her. Here's an example: The first paragraph of this introduction is around 500 words long and it tells the reader all about how much she should care about this article: "Why should you read my article? Well, I'll tell you. The first rule of the Web is that the Web doesn't matter at all." The paragraph ends with a hook that makes you want to keep reading: "But for those who need a reason, keep reading, and we'll see if we can't come up with something." The hook must be relevant to what's going to follow. Don't say: "Bread and butter: It's important!" Then make the rest of the article about potatoes and rice. The following introduction is, in my opinion, too long. There's lots to say about drive space problems but this introduction says way too much about other things that aren't even related to hard drive space problems like how people like things like white noise apps. The introduction starts out strong with the hook "I'd like to point out three reasons you should care about drive space problems." But it goes on for too long to make the reader really care. The intro ends with an anecdote about how there is a lot of information you can find online but how most people don't take the time to find that information and then it goes into a figure of speech that is very hard to follow. The introduction must be interesting and relevant to the subject. Don't use the same words over and over again, though. Do not start a sentence with "Well..." or "In conclusion..." or any other phrase that looks like a conclusion. If it's ok, say "In conclusion... just kidding! Let's just get to the point." Your conclusion should be short. Don't tell people what you've told them. Tell them what they've learned. Wrap up your article in between 3 and 5 sentences. The last sentence of the conclusion should be "Thnx for reading!" or "Thnx 4 reading!" or something like that.
